Bear Grylls Knife - What knife does Bear Grylls use?

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

If you are as big of a fan of Man vs. Wild as I am you have probably wondered about Bear Grylls’s gear and Bear Gryll’s Knife.
Recently Bear came out with his own line of knife. Priced at nearly 700 us dollars this tough built bayleyKnife Bear Grylls signature model left me gasping for air at the ridiculous price. I dont care how great a knife is, for me $700 smackers is not a realistic price for a knife.

I did some research, and before Bear came out with his own knife he was using reasonably priced every day knives that you can easily find in the market place.
So, What knife does Bear Grylls use?

Here is a list of some of the knives that Bear has used and what episodes he used them in.

1.Buck Iceman - Alaska, and the Moab episodes.
2.Gerber Serator with clip point - Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano and Northern Kenya.
3.Titanium pro divers knife - Costa Rica and Pacific Island episodes.
4.Wegner Serated Mountanieers knife - French alps
5.Buck Zipper - Everglades

All of these knives can be found on the web at reasonable prices they are all under about $65 and some of them are under $40. I am an avid outdoorsman and know the importance of having a great, dependable knife at your side but paying nearly $700 for a knife is pretty rediculous. I hope that some of these alternatives will still let you enjoy using a knife that Bear Grylls uses at a down to earth price. Click the link to get the best prices on Bear Grylls Kinves.

Bill Mason’s Waterwalker - A Canoeing Odyssey - Part 4 of 9

BobSwererIsAFaggot asked:

In his essential canoeing film Waterwalker, Bill Mason illustrates life on the tributaries of Lake Superior, with thoughtful narration and beautiful imagery from the peaceful Canadian Wilderness. I previously had this video up as a condensed 10 minute video, but decided to make the entirety of it available. This is an amazing film, and hands down my favourite nature related film/documentary. Sadly Waterwalker is now out of print, but watch it in high quality and most importantly enjoy this …
