Pelican Bayou 160 square stern canoe motor?

White Rhodesian asked:

I’m thinking about this canoe:

It is about $700. It can hand a small motor up to 5 hp, I think.
I’d rather have a smaller motor anyhow…

as weight and cost is a consideration for these 4 strokes.
Any experience with them? How well do they work with this canoe? Which one do you think is best? Thanks.

Why are canoes and kayaks pointed at both ends?

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009
justaguy23456 asked:

It seems like you could trim a couple feet off the back end and have it flat. That would make the boat lighter in weight and shorter - easier to transport to and from a waterway. Is there some advantage to having both ends points on these kinds of boats?
